SoFiN at ECOC 2026

From 20–24 September, André Sandmann from ADTRAN represented SoFiN at ECOC 2026 in Málaga. 

He delivered the invited presentation “Enhancing Telecommunications Network Availability through Infrastructure Protection with High-Spatial-Resolution Sensing”, highlighting how SoFiN sensing technologies can support fibre infrastructure protection and improve telecom network availability. 

The paper accompanying the invited talk, co-authored by André Sandmann, Lutz Rapp and Florian Azendorf, was also published in the ECOC 2026 proceedings under paper ID Tu4-G1.
